Final Agenda


The Architecture Forum at paris will host a half-day public Joint Briefing with the Active Loss Prevention initiative on Wednesday 10th April 2002. In addition, there will be an Architecture Workshop, on the afternoon of Wednesday 10th April 2002 and on Thursday 11th April, in which the members of the Forum will progress their 2002 work program.


Joint Briefing: IT Architecture and Active Loss Prevention

This practical half-day Symposium will update you on the important role of IT architecture for reducing risk and increasing the securability, reliability, and adaptability of implemented IT systems.

  • You will receive a briefing on the Active Loss Prevention Initiative being launched by The Open Group in collaboration  with leading organizations in the Information Technology, Insurance, and Legal domains.
  • You will receive a briefing on The Open Group Architectural Framework, the leading open framework and method for IT architecture within the IT industry, including
    • The Business Scenario method for articulating and defining the business requirements that IT architecture is to address
  • You will network with leading experts, vendors, and peers.

The main area of focus for the Architecture Workshop at Paris will be to review in detail the first draft deliverables from projects in the Architecture Forum's 2002 work program.

The 2002 work program promises to be one of the most extensive yet, with a proposal to transition TOGAF from a framework and method for IT Architecture to one for overall enterprise architecture. This will have profound implications for TOGAF itself and for the working of the Architecture Forum.
