Rian Mey holds a BComm degree from the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Province, South Africa and has completed significant coursework for an MBA at De Montfort University, U. K. He has also completed advanced courses in Computer Science University of WITS.

Prior to Adaptive, Rian served in a number of very senior roles, including Managing Director and Founding Partner of Meta Business Metrics and Senior Consultant and Project Manager with Ernst & Young. Rian has vast experience providing enterprise architecture solutions in the areas of balanced scorecard, strategic planning, process management, business rules and IT architecture. A certified consultant, Rian has contributed to architecture projects for the FBI, NATO, Applied Materials, IBM Global Services, and MetLife Insurance. He also has extensive experience, within several industries, in creating business solutions using object-oriented technologies, to extend traditional information engineering concepts into architectures applicable to business environments.
