|David Harrison has
worked in the IT industry for over 30 years. During 22 years with IBM as a programmer,
systems analyst and database administrator on a variety of development projects, and
latterly in a consultancy role with the IBM sales force, he gained considerable experience
in all aspects of the systems development life-cycle. There followed 8 years with the UK's
Ordnance Survey (OS) where, as a Senior Systems Development Consultant he established the
Design Authority and Enterprise Architecture Teams and was responsible for promoting and
advising on good design practice throughout OS.
For the last 3 years, as the Senior Enterprise Architecture Consultant with Popkin Software, David has worked with client organisations to provide advice and support in using the System Architect architecture and modelling tool, and has taken an active role in representing Popkin in the Open Group Architecture Forum for the past 12 months.
