Synopsis

Using TOGAF to Define an Architecture Framework for the Torpedo Enterprise Advanced Modeling and Simulation (TEAMS) Initiative

The Torpedo Enterprise Advanced Modeling and Simulation (TEAMS) Initiative is a program funded by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) that is defining and developing a cross-enterprise, collaborative modeling and simulation environment, which will include an architecture framework, interface standards and requirements to enable sharing of model components. This talk will describe how the TEAMS consortium is successfully applying the stages of the TOGAF process to achieve ONR's goal of saving time and development cost by providing a standard simulation framework, and components with standardized interfaces that can be interchanged by all developers in the torpedo modeling community.
