What is
this thing called architecture? The conventional definitions of IT architecture do not
clearly differentiate it from design. Why does this matter? This session proposes a
slightly different definition of IT architecture, one very similar to its earliest use in
the domain of IT, and elaborates the implications of this definition for the discipline of
IT architecture. This session will address the practice and profession of architecture, within the context of the proposed definition. |
