Austin Group Minutes of the 5 June Teleconference Austin-173 Page 1 of 1 Submitted by Andrew Josey, The Open Group. June 6, 2003 Attendees Andrew Josey, The Open Group Joanna Farley, Sun Don Cragun , Sun, PASC OR Ulrich Drepper Nick Stoughton, USENIX Mark Brown, IBM, TOG OR Andrew submitted the draft PAR and criteria to the PASC, but has heard no news back from the PASC PMC/SEC. There are concerns about whether Lowell is reading email and hence can call an evote. Nick said he would try and contact Lowell. TC2 draft 1 was released on June 1 and is out for review until June 29. The current aardvark materials are at: http://www.opengroup.org/austin/aardvark/finaltext/ The meeting then picked up on the aardvark XSH ---------- ERN 89 OPEN Agreed in principle , some concern over the wording Need to get Dave B to take a look, specifically we want to say that only one thread can use this stack and no-one else can use the stack, and make it clear that at the point that once the stack is called it belongs to the implementation for use by a single thread. ERN 90 OPEN Propose to A/M to replace the whole para, leave open for one more round of reviews ERN 91 OPEN This would imply a change in the standard, and quite a big one at that, which could break some implementations , not thought to be appropriate for a TC, possibly for the next revision See the ERN for the proposed wording. ERN 92 OPEN The test assertion has been round for a long time. Some concern about the wording in XRAT which appears to be about atuned to the utilities rather than setlocale(). We need to identify wording changes for a clarification and if there is conflict between XSH/XBD we need to sort it. Next meeting ------------ The next meeting is proposed to be on June 12 at the regular timeslot. It was agreed that we should try and go for weekly meetings for a while. Continue next time at XSH ERN 93 Andrew will update the aardvark reports on the web site with the latest information including new aardvark subsequently received.
