Austin Group Minutes of the 8 September Teleconference Austin-266 Page 1 of 1 Submitted by Andrew Josey, The Open Group. September 9, 2005 Attendees Andrew Josey, The Open Group Don Cragun , Sun, PASC OR Nick Stoughton, USENIX, ISO/IEC OR Sebastien Roy, Sun Ulrich Drepper, Red Hat Mats Wichmann, Intel Apologies Mark Brown, IBM, TOG OR We also had an IRC channel open for this call irc://irc.freestandards.org/austin Action item review --------------------- Just the updates on Austin/240r1 are noted here. ACTION AI-2005-01-09 Andrew Josey & Mats Wichmann to propose a time and place for a joint Austin group/LSB Workgroup meeting to consider LSB/POSIX conflicts, to be held as soon as conveniently possible. Status: OPEN LSB 3.0 is done. The ISO ballot resolution was held in Singapore last week, and all comments were reviewed, and the comments that led to the no votes were addressed to turn the three no votes to yes votes. An updated draft is being prepared. Likely to be a LSB 3.1 document, the number is just to correspond to other document changes, and there is minimal normative change between LSB 3.0 and LSB 3.1 (primarily corrections) Andrew has also released an update to the Technical Report. As soon as the final version of the LSB document is submitted to ISO, a new draft of the TR can then be sent to ballot as an FCD TR. We do not anticipate any further changes to the conflicts document. Nick still has an action to prepare an agenda for a teleconference. ACTION: Andrew Do final review pass on the Technical Report document when the ISO LSB has been submitted, probably the next change is to change LSB 3.0 to IS 23360-200x. ACTION AI-2005-01-06: AJ to contact Jack McCann at HP for views on getnameinfo document, and for any other networking issues that may concern us. Status:CLOSED. Sebastien Roy at Sun has volunteered to act as a liaison on IETF activities.
