ACTION AI-2005-01-01: Don Cragun to present paper on pathname resolution.
OPEN

ACTION 2007-02-06: Ulrich to research issue 15 and propose text for XSH
intro to explain directory searching, with special respect to the *at()
functions.
OPEN (Geoff has posted some mail on this, come back to this when Ulrich
has the cycles) Ulrich has also now posted some thoughts on this item.


Status
------
Andrew reported that we are now in the final editorial stages
for draft 3 to come out on Jun 15.

We discussed IEEE balloting and decided that we have to keep
balloting at IEEE for coordination and synchronization with The
Open Group and ISO/IEC, even though we have more than 75% approval.
Andrew will send a note to our IEEE project editor.

Following on from last weeks meeting,  the following XSHbug2.txt
(bugs against the 2004 edition) had been added to SD5 for
inclusion into Draft 3.

Change from:

The freopen( ) function shall first attempt to flush the stream and
close any file descriptor associated with stream. Failure to flush or
close the file descriptor successfully shall be ignored.  The error and
end-of-file indicators for the stream shall be cleared.

to
The freopen( ) function shall first attempt to flush the stream associated
with /stream/ as if by a call to fflush (stream).  Failure to flush
the stream successfully shall be ignored.  If /filename/ is not a
null, pointer freopen() shall close any file descriptor associated
with /stream/. Failure to close the file descriptor successfully shall
be ignored.  The error and end-of-file indicators for the stream
shall be cleared.
