It was agreed that we need to close this actions at the September meeting so we can incorporate the changes into D4 Status ------ Meeting registration for the September face to face meeting is now open. http://www.opengroup.org/austin/ The POSIX C++ binding group met on July 15 in Toronto. They have requested an agenda item for the September plenary, specifically on C++ threads. They have drawn up a draft PAR and criteria and will be submitting these to the PASC SEC soon. Aardvark Bug Reports -------------------- XCU ERN 153 OPEN XSH ERN 204 regcomp OPEN We need to investigate behaviors Awaiting a sample program to act as a test case. XSH ERN 214 mq_unlink OPEN Proposed to accept, leave open for one more week pending any final comments from the SSWG-RT XSH ERN 216 strlen workding Accept This has been fixed in D3. No further action is necessary. XSH ERN 217 tcsetattr OPEN The value of termios cannot be used for anything except for calls to tcsetattr and tcgetattr Geoff took an action on this item to draft a proposal. XSH ERN 218 poll OPEN It seems we need to add additional wording for the POLLHUP error case to include FIFOs. The current text is: POLLHUP The device has been disconnected. This event and POLLOUT are mutually- exclusive; a stream can never be writable if a hangup has occurred. However, this event and POLLIN, POLLRDNORM, POLLRDBAND, or POLLPRI are not mutually-exclusive. This flag is only valid in the revents bitmask; it shall be ignored in the events member. Possible wording , is to change the first sentence to: "The device has been disconnected or reading from the corresponding /fd/ would return and end-of-file indication." Leave this one open for another week Next Steps ----------- Andrew will update the aardvark reports with the latest inbound defect reports. Next teleconference meeting will be THURSDAY 2 August 2007.
