Bug 0000623: poll should not modify fds[i].fd and fds[i].events Accepted as Marked http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=623 Mark had completed his action in bug note 1455. There has been some discussion on the mail reflector. This item is tagged for TC2-2008. An interpretation is required. Interpretation response: The standard does not speak to this issue, and as such no conformance distinction can be made between alternative implementations based on this. This is being referred to the sponsor. Rationale: There are conditions under which existing implementations of poll() may modify fd and events, but they are all cases where the application has performed an action which results in unspecified or undefined behaviour. Notes to the Editor (not part of this interpretation): Add a new paragraph to the end of the DESCRIPTION at page 1404 line 45985: Provided the application does not perform any action that results in unspecified or undefined behavior, the value of the fd and events members of each element of fds[] shall not be modified by poll(). Bug 0000648: Special treatment of in tokenization rules is unnecessary Accepted as Marked http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=648 * in section 2.10, change the comment: /* The following are the operators mentioned above */ to: /* The following are the operators (see XBD 3.255) containing more than one character */ * Delete 2.3 rule #7 (line 72448) and 2.10.1 rule #1 (line 73415). * renumber the lists in 2.3 and 2.10.1 Next Steps ---------- The next call is on February 14 2013 (a Thursday) This call will be for the regular 90 minutes. http://austingroupbugs.net See the calendar for the list of dialup numbers.
