Bug 0000721: Internal storage vs static storage OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=721 This item is still open. Martin has also forwarded this to The Open Group Base Working group for their consideration. Bug #0000801: Clarify requirements on M_* macros with FLT_EVAL_METHOD !=0 OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=801 Action Item. Andrew: Ask Fred Tydeman to give us his evaluation of this bug and the comments received to date. Completed. * Current Business Bug #0000802: Add 'rm -d' Accepted http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=802 This item is tagged with Issue 8 We discussed whether to reopen bug 802 but decided the issue raised in note 2120 should be submitted as a separate bug so that it can potentially be addressed in TC2. (Richard submitted it during the meeting, bug 819). Bug 0000803: Interfaces are 'shall be' when should be 'may be' Rejected http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=803 The functionality described on the fenv.h reference page is aligned with the ISO C standard. Any conflict between the requirements described there and the ISO C standard is unintentional. This volume of POSIX.1-2008 defers to the ISO C standard. Bug 0000804: waitid() practically requires #include anyway Rejected http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=804 Implementations are allowed, but not required, to expose all of the symbols of signal.h. Applications requiring additional symbols are required to add the appropriate header. Adding exposure of these symbols as a new requirement can break existing implementations. The "may make visible" convention is widely used in several headers and we can see no reason to single out this header for special treatment. Bug #0000805: Add Make conditionals OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=805 Deferred to next time (not enough time to discuss today) Bug 0000806: fnmatch behavior unclear when pattern ends in backslash OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=806 We discussed 806 at length but ran out of time to resolve it. Existing practice seems to be that a backslash at the end of the pattern causes the pattern not to match anything. It was felt that an error return would be more useful and that we should allow this as well (or possibly even say in Future Directions that we will require it). XCU 2.13.1 also needs to change since it does not address this case. Next Steps ---------- The next call is on February 13, 2014 (a Thursday) Calls are anchored on US time.
