Bug 0000900: add qsort_r OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=900 The consensus was that its a good idea to add the suggested interface. The usual requirements regarding a sponsor for a new interface apply. Action: Open Group OR , to ask the Base WG if they wish to sponsor the additional qsort interface proposed here. Bug 0000901: reserve _POSIX* shell option namespace for future use OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=901 (relates to a discussion on the reflector in October 2014 X-Mailing-List: austin-group-l:archive/latest/21581 adding support for standard extensions to the shell language) Leave open until Richard can be on the call * Current Business Bug 0000905: Add -w option for ps(1) command Accepted as Marked http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=905 This item is tagged for Issue 8. On page 3086, change the line 102911 from ps [-aA] ... to ps [-aAw] ... On page 3087, append after line 102958: -w behave as if the COLUMNS environment variable had a value of at least 132. If the -w option is not specified or is specified exactly once, all output lines shall contain no more than the greater of {LINE_MAX} and COLUMNS bytes provided that no format name is specified multiple times. On page 3090 line 103106 add a new paragraph to APPLICATION USAGE: Portable applications should not set COLUMNS to a value greater than {LINE_MAX} and should not specify the -w option more than once if the output will be used as input for a utility that requires a text file as input because lines containing more than {LINE_MAX} bytes may cause undefined behavior in some implementations of the utility. Next Steps ---------- The next call is on March 26, 2015 (a Thursday) Please note that the US/Canada changed to daylight savings on March 8; as the meeting is anchored to US time, it changes the meeting time next week for non-US attendees (so in Europe the meeting starts one hour earlier than usual) Calls are anchored on US time.
