Austin Group Organizational Representative Report Austin-779 Page 1 of 1 Submitted by Andrew Josey, The Open Group, August 23, 2016 and Nick Stoughton, ISO/IEC OR The Austin Common Standards Revision Group (CSRG) is a joint technical working group established to develop and maintain the core open systems interfaces that are the IEEE POSIX(R) 1003.1 (and former 1003.2) standards, ISO/IEC 9945, and the core of the Single UNIX Specification. The current activities are maintenance of ISO/IEC 9945, managing defect reports and consideration of changes for the next revision. A second technical corrigendum document was published by IEEE and The Open Group on August 15 2016, and this is expected to be published by ISO/IEC shortly. It is our understanding that the ISO/IEC publication this time is being handled by IEEE as part of their PSDO agreement they have with ISO. Future activities include consideration of commencement on a full revision to the standard. The group meets regularly by teleconference to consider defect reports and issues on the current approved standard. Minutes are kept in the Document register at http://www.opengroup.org/austin/docreg.html . The group uses an online defect reporting system for maintenance of the standard, see http://austingroupbugs.net Further information on the Austin Group can be obtained at http://www.opengroup.org/austin/faq.html The next working group meeting is listed at http://www.opengroup.org/austin/ in the events diary (a Google Calendar also exists to which you can subscribe). Respectfully submitted, Andrew Josey, The Open Group Nick Stoughton ISO/IEC Organization Representative to the Austin Group
