Bug 1122: POSIX should include gettext() and friends OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1122 Left open as an action is still in progress to flesh out a complete proposal. Bug 0001132: Whether the 'how' argument must be one of the three defined value should be clarified Accepted as Marked http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1132 On P1735, L56259 (2016 edition) in the pthread_sigmask() ERRORS section, change: The value of the how argument is not equal to one of the defined values. to: The set argument is not a null pointer and the value of the how argument is not equal to one of the defined values. Bug 0001133: find clarification on -xdev behavior for mounted filesystem within primary OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1133 We discussed this item. We believe that the current wording in the standard requires mount points to be included in the output from find some_directory -xdev but to not list files found by traversing those mount points. This allows one to make a backup of a directory containing mount points and have those mount points included in the backup without including any files found under that mount point. Unfortunately, this is not the way System V find behaved and there is not discussion in the rationale explaining why this change to historic behavior was made. We would guess that the documented behavior of the System V find matches what is in the standard even though that was not the way System V find behaved. We believe that this was a bug in the System V find and not an incorrect requirement in the standard. Since only one OR is present at this meeting, the above was added as a note in the bug, but the bug will be kept open until we have a meeting with at least two ORs present. Bug 1134: Add getentropy interface OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1134 Action: Andrew to add boilerplate response regarding a proposal for new interface, and also to ask The Open Group OR if they would sponsor this addition. Bug 1135: Is "all data" when len is 0 a snapshot of file's length? Accepted as Marked http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1135 Change: If len is zero, all data following offset is specified. to: If len is zero, all data from offset to the largest possible value of the file offset for that file shall be specified. Bug 1136: awk: missing case where a bare array name may be used OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1136 We started discussing this bug, but ran out of time. We'll start with this bug and 1133 next time. Next Steps ---------- The next call is on Sep 20th 2018 (Thursday). Apologies in Advance: Nick Stoughton (2018-09-20) Calls are anchored on US time.
