Minutes of the 24th January 2019 Teleconference Austin-903 Page 1 of 1 Submitted by Andrew Josey, The Open Group. 25th January 2019 Attendees: Andrew Josey, The Open Group Don Cragun, IEEE PASC OR Eric Blake, Red Hat Joerg Schilling, FOKUS Fraunhofer Mark Ziegast, SHware Systems Nick Stoughton, USENIX, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 22 OR Apologies Geoff Clare, The Open Group * General news We agreed that it was best to wait for Geoff to be available on the call before discussing the alias item that had been running on the list. Andrew took an action to contact kre about re-opening very old bug reports - we would prefer a new report against the latest version of the standard if possible rather than re-open closed reports against old versions. * Outstanding actions (Please note that this section has been flushed to shorten the minutes - to locate the previous set of outstanding actions, look to the minutes from 9 March 2018 and earlier) Bug 1077: Recommend support for wide-character regcomp and regexec and/or specify multi-byte behavior OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=1077 Andrew has completed the action to ping his Apple contact and is awaiting a reply. Bug 1122: POSIX should include gettext() and friends OPEN http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1122 Left open as an action is still in progress to flesh out a complete proposal. * Current Business Bug 1160: Condition for EAGAIN inverted. Reject http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1160 The current text is correct. "These functions" includes pread() which fails with ESPIPE not EAGAIN. Further down there is another EAGAIN that is just for read(). Bug 1161: command -v must find something executable Accept as Marked http://austingroupbugs.net/view.php?id=1161 This item is tagged for TC3-2008 At Page 2596 line 84277 Change "Utilities" to "Executable utilities" at the beginning of the sentence.
