@ page 140 line 4787 section LC_MONETARY comment {aj.4217.interp}
Problem:
Defect code : 3. Clarification required
Is an implementation that limits the allowed int_currency_symbol
in the LC_MONETARY locale category to a subset of those defined
in ISO 4217 POSIX compliant? For example an implementation that
limits the allowed int_currency_symbol to just those valid currencies
for cash transactions.
Action:
The standard is clear, such an implementation is non-conforming.
POSIX states that the int_currency_symbol can take any of the
values defined in ISO 4217 and does not define a subset
of the symbols. All currency symbols defined in ISO 4217
shall be accepted by POSIX conforming implementations.
