Defect report from : Mark Brown , IBM
(Please direct followup comments direct to yyyyyyyyyyyyyy@xxxxxxxxxxxxx)
@ page 700 line 26980 section pax objection {IBM-03190302}
Problem:
Defect code : 3. Clarification required
The specification for the pax command (the -l option) implies
that under certain circumstances that a hard link to a symbolic link be
created.
There's not actually any mechanism to create a hard link to a symlink is there?
link() is required to resolve the path arguments, so it can't
be used....
Action:
remove the requirement for a "hard link to the symbolic link".
or
add the mechanism to be used for such a link "as if foo() were called".
