This is a periodic posting. I've not had to post this since November
2000 but have seen a few postings recently that have prompted me to
send this message
Firstly it is not acceptable for postings to include personal attacks
on members of the group. This includes slanted comments that take issue
with the fact the some group members are employees of certain
companies and organizations. The lists are for technical discussions
and we expect folks to behave in a mature and professional manner.
Secondly, please can we have some discipline on posting articles to
the list.
As a minimum please try and cut the Cc line down when you reply. Folks who
post to the list and reply are generally on the list, so there is no need
for the To: line to have other than the relevant Austin Group mailing list
on it. I specifically do not need to be Cc'd on anything sent to the list.
Is the Austin Group only on the CC line? If so, please remove it ,
all mail should either be addressed to the group or not at all.
Please read the long scope, the Committee Maintenance Procedures and
the FAQ before you post anything.
Please consider whether the posting is of relevance to the project,
if not use the Off Topic mailing list or DO NOT post.
Are you cross posting to multiple mailing lists ? Are you really
sure?
