Nick- Going to www.ibm.com and entering a search with the words "AIX" and "Standards" would have netted you: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/aix/standards/aix51stdcmpl.html Which does indeed discuss 1003.1:1996 and 1003.2:1992 (among other things). As Don Cragun and Andrew Josey have attempted to point out, there is a lot more involved than just saying "1003.1:1996". It's a collection of amendments, options, and other things. You have to *really read* the vendor documentation to get the real answer. Have you actually asked an IBM rep about AIX's conformance, or plans? ------------------- Mark S.
