It is possible.  Anyone can get any mailing list added to Gmane, 
provided that the mailing list administrator does not 
object.  Archives can be imported into Gmane so that the complete 
history becomes available.  The admins there are helpful and can be 
found on their gmane.discuss newsgroup.
