The COMsource product is the result of a collaborative development project utilizing The Open Group's Pre-Structured Technology process to produce an open systems implementation of the Component Object Model (COM) technology. * This COMsource source code deliverable contains a 32-bit reference implementation based on SUN Solaris 2.6, a 64-bit reference implementation based on Compaq Tru64 UNIX version 4.0D, and the ability to port to other operating systems. U.S. export restrictions apply - there is a version supporting 128-bit encryption for use within the U.S.and by non-governmental users outside the U.S. For other users, we provide a version supporting 40-bit encryption.

NOTES: The COMsource source code fee allows deployment of source code on up to five (5) CPU’s (Systems) for development purposes. In the case of a client/server environment, only five (5) Systems are allowed to access the source code simultaneously. If COMsource source code is desired on more than five (5) Systems, Licensee will acquire additional licenses as needed in increments of five (5) Systems per license. A “System” is defined as a single user System or CPU.

OBJECT CODE FEES

The COMsource Source License with Full Distribution Rights includes a fully paid-up Object Code license for unlimited redistribution, as defined in The Open Group’s COMsource Standard Supplement.

The Developers License includes an Object Code license for five (5) internal CPU's. In the case of a client/server environment, only five (5) Systems are allowed to access the source code simultaneously. A “System” is defined as a single user System or CPU. No external redistribution of Object Code is allowed.

The University Site License include a fully paid-up Object Code license for unlimited internal redistribution only.
