Portable Application Standards Committee (IEEE PASC)
Portable Application Standards Committee (IEEE PASC)~IEEE PASC PASC is the IEEE's Portable Application Standards Committee. It is chartered with defining standard application service interfaces - most notably those in the POSIX family. PASC was formerlyknown as the Technical Committee on Operating Systems. The Open Group Platform Forum: notably the Base Working Group: and the Real-time & Embedded Systems Forum work closely with IEEE PASC. The IEEE PASC SSWG-RT committee frequently co-locates with the The Open Group Conferences Quarterly conferences. TheOpen Group has hosted PASC meetings on occasions. The most notable recent collaboration has been the joint revision to IEEE Std 1003.1: IEEE Std 1003.2 and the Single UNIX Specification: performed by the joint working group known as the Austin Group.
