The Open Group has provided services to the ICSC since 2001,
before its formal inception. The Open Group worked with the
Founding Members to produce and achieve buy-in to the Membership
Agreement, and provided the infrastructure to enroll members
at the formal founding date.
The Open Group provides a variety of services
to support the ongoing operation of the consortium including
electronic mail, web-based collaboration infrastructure for
working groups, teleconference services, and direct support
to the Steering Committee for teleconference management,
meeting minutes, action item tracking etc. The Open Group’s
Account Manager for ICSC participates in the Steering Committee
and helps guide the technical and structural aspects of the
consortium
Support to the ICSC is a continuing activity
and the consortium continues to work to develop its Technical
Specifications. The ICSC has just retained The Open Group
to develop a test program to provide support to software
engineers of member companies as they develop implementations
of those specifications.
