The D-Cinema Consortium is engaged in:
- Establishing
the D-Cinema Certification process,
- Establishing
D-Cinema Certification Levels,
- Conducting
interoperability trials,
- Development
and/or adoption of D-Cinema certification specifications,
- Development
and/or adoption of D-Cinema certification profiles and
conformance tests.
The objective of the D-Cinema Consortium is to create a common
certification scheme for digital cinema, building on the
standardization efforts of SMPTE and other industry groups.
The Consortium does not intend to duplicate or re-invent the
work of other groups, but rather to use it as the basis of
certification profiles and conformance tests.
