The Directory Standardization Work Area:

• Forges collaberations with the various directory standards working groups and industry forums to advance the open standards related to the directory marketplace;

• Generates standards enhancement proposals and reference implementations that the individual Members propose to the appropriate standards bodies or appropriate directory industry forums;

• Inputs to standards bodies and industry forums its views on requirements and priorities for standards development.
