Overview

In the Governing Board elections, we had 3 Customer-Member representatives nominations and 3 vacancies. Therefore no Customer-Member ballot was necessary. The three elected Customer-Member representatives are Elaine Babcock, Ben Calloni and Alan Doniger. Congratulations to Elaine, Ben and Alan on being elected.

In the election for the Supplier-Member Representative we had 1 vacancy and 5 nominations. Therefore call for ballot was issued. Nominations of candidates opened on February 3, 2004 and closed on April 30. The candidates were announced and the call for ballot was issued to the membership on May 14. The ballot period started on May 15th and closed on June 11.

Having received the majority of the votes, Chris Greenslade has been duly elected for appointment to the Governing Board at the next Board meeting in July 2004. Congratulations to Chris on being elected.

Thanks to all the other excellent candidates for putting themselves forward, and thanks to all those who participated in this election.

The principle of "one vote per member organization" is sustained in this election just as it is throughout all operations in The Open Group. In this case, the official primary or alternate contact in each member-organization is called upon to cast their organization's vote.
