This FAQ is to help explain the miscellaneous features within the Sophocles Mail Manager .

Embedded lists

It is possible to add a list as a subscriber to a list, rather than a person. However, this can only be done to one level of nesting embedded lists cannot contain embedded lists.

Maintainers

If you add a maintainer to a mail list who is not a member of staff, the system will not automatically allow this person access to the system. You must send an email to webmaster@opengroup.org to request access for the new maintainer to make modifications to the mail list.

Deleting Mail Lists

Is not permitted by Maintainers. Only the Webmaster can delete mail lists - otherwise all tracking history on the list is lost. Again, you must send an email to webmaster@opengroup.org to request this deletion.

Deleting Users

Is not permitted.
