The Open Group Trusted Technology Forum

Developing Open Standards and Certification Programs to Help Assure Product Integrity and Global Supply Chain Security

The Open Group President and CEO Steve Nunn discusses Trusted Technology and the supply chain with Andras Szakal, CTO/CIO/CSO/CFO, IBM, and OTTF Chair

The Open Group Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF) leads the development of a global supply chain integrity program and framework in order to provide buyers of IT products with a choice of certified technology partners and vendors. The OTTF provides a vendor-neutral environment where security, supply chain, and acquisition professionals can lead the development of industry best practices and certification programs, utilize the broad reach of The Open Group to build global recognition for them, and network with a world-class community of experts and peers to grow professionally. We welcome the participation of all who want to influence the direction of the OTTF.

A brief overview of the OTTF objectives and deliverables is provided in the OTTF Data Sheet.

The Open Trusted Technology Provider Standard - Mitigating Maliciously Tainted and Counterfeit Products (O-TTPS) is an open standard containing a set of organizational guidelines, requirements, and recommendations for integrators, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), hardware and software component suppliers, distributors and value-add resellers, to enhance the security of the global supply chain and the integrity of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) information and communication technology (ICT).

The O-TTPS Certification Program provides formal recognition of an Organization’s conformance to the O-TTPS Conformance Requirements and aims to encourage and facilitate the adoption and implementation of the O-TTPS by vendors (providers and component suppliers), integrators, and other organizations that provide software, hardware, or services to acquirers. The O-TTPS Certification Program is publicly available and applicable to ICT: OEMs, integrators, hardware and software component suppliers, distributors, and value-add resellers.  For more information, please visit the certification website at www.opengroup.org/certifications/o-ttps.

The Open Group Open Certified Trusted Technology Practitioner (Open CTTP) certification is an independent global certification for qualifying the skills, knowledge, and experience of Trusted Technology Practitioners. Open CTTP certification verifies that professionals have the qualities and skills needed to enable the application of effective Trusted Technology security practices, such as those described in the O-TTPS: ISO/IEC 20243.
