(dme) Agreement that the text in minutes captures the discussion from the meeting on 2002-05-09. Vish asks if the list are new votable items ? dme: No, just intended to be a record that can be used to modify the requirements. Louis mailed some concerns to the list about the "allow inheritance of event queues" approach. Added to the agenda for 2002-05-16. 4. Review Posix AIO paper. (Satya) General approval, a couple of questions over whether we should indicate that we don't wish to "fix" Posix AIO. Satya to re-send the statement to the list with a deadline of 2002-05-21 for comments before sending to the SC. 5. Review proposed Section 4. (dme) 1. Vish: SCTP remove, as IETF is better for this. Satya: IETF is "recommendations", whereas OpenGroup is more formal (i.e. branding). Remove the 1st section, add a new work item which is to provide feedback to IETF working group chairs. 2. add memory buffers as source. possibly add memory buffers as destination. HPUX supports "Close connection after transfer completed". Check Linux, Windows for features and compatibility. 3. Byte ordering for addresses needs to be discussed. 6. Austin Group update. (dme) dme spoke to the Austin Group meeting in Reading about ICSC socket API work. See the recent slides for details. No formal liason has been appointed by the Austin Group at this time. The Group would like to see "finished specifications" which they can easily incorporate. New specifications are required to have an existing implementation before incorporation. 7.
