This area contains a number of subdirectories. For each, its name and a summary
from its README file is given below.

This area is also used by the Open Group info-server system, for which reason 
each sub-directory contains an 'index' and 'help' file, not of specific 
interest to FTP or WWW users.

TET

The Test Environment Toolkit is a generic front end for use in test suites.
As such it is used in VSX4 - X/Open's test suite for parts of XPG4, the
MIT X test suite, plus many other industry standard verification suites. It
is also suitable for the development of unit and regression tests.

The Distributed Test Environment Toolkit (dTET2)

dTET2 is a network product designed for the development and execution of
system and unit tests in a network environment. Typically, these tests
are used to verify some kind of interaction between two (or more)
systems in a network. It is backwards compatible with the TET,
although the system requirements to be able to build it are different.

Release 2.3 is a maintenance release. It is mandatory for use with 
the VST4 test suite for XTI, but is fully upwards compatible with release 2.2
and has been tested with XNFS, (PC)NFS and VST.

Extended Test Environment Toolkit (ETET) Release 1.10.3


The ETET is  an extended version of TET1.10. 
The release now available is Revision 1.10.3. This is a maintenance
release of ETET with minor revisions from 1.10.2, this release also
includes fixes for the agreed bugs in the base TET 1.10 release.

NB ******** 1.10.3.patch1 is a recent patch to this release
