Partners

The EMF works in partnership with other organizations also active in the world of management standardization. Our primary partner is the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), the developers of the Common Information Model (CIM), which has been adopted by the EMF as the basis for describing management information. Co-operation with the DMTF takes the form of close liaison at the strategic level, and joint working groups developing CIM schema for UNIX and for Application Run-Time modelling.

 Other organizations with which we have worked in the past include the TeleManagement Forum (TMF), the Computer Measurement Group (CMG), the Object Management Group (OMG), SHARE, GUIDE, and the Performance Management Working Group (PMWG).
