Certification Fee Schedule

1. Certification Logo Licensing Fee

There is currently no license fee associated with use of the NSI Certification Logo.

2. Core Retailer Web-Based Applications Certification Fees

Refer to Section 5 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Core Retailer Web-Based Applications Certification/Verification for fee applicability.

Certification Fee for Web-Based Retailer Application	$8,000	Upon registration to certify a Web-Based Retailer Application. This fee also applies to any application derived from a certified Web-Based Retailer Application and classified as requiring a "new certification", as per Section 5.3 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Core Retailer Web-Based Applications Certification/Verification.
Amendment Fee	$400	Upon execution of any amendment to certification information as per Section 5.2 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Core Retailer Web-Based Applications Certification/Verification.

3. Management of Instant Tickets Certification Fees

Refer to Section 4 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Management of Instant Tickets Certification/Verification for fee applicability.

Certification Fee for: Bar Codes on Instant Tickets and Instant Ticket Packs for Instant Ticket Manufacturers	$3,000	Upon registration to certify an instant ticket manufacturer's practice for including bar codes on instant tickets and instant ticket packs. This fee also applies to any derivative practices classified as requiring a "new certification", as per Section 4.3 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Management of Instant Tickets Certification/Verification.
Certification Fee for: MIT XML Based Messaging for Lottery Vendors	$3,000	Upon registration to certify a lottery vendor's business practice of providing applications to Lotteries for managing instant ticket inventory activity between lotteries and retails via a set of XML based messages. This fee also applies to any derivative practices classified as requiring a "new certification", as per Section 4.3 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Management of Instant Tickets Certification/Verification.
Certification Fee for: MIT XML Based Messaging for Retailers	$2,000	Upon registration to certify a retailer's practice of managing instant ticket inventory and/or providing instant ticket sales activity to lotteries via a set of XML based messages. This fee also applies to any derivative practices classified as requiring a "new certification", as per Section 4.3 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Management of Instant Tickets Certification/Verification.
Re-certification Fee for: Bar Codes on Instant Tickets and Instant Ticket Packs for Instant Ticket Manufacturers MIT XML Based Messaging for Lottery Vendors	$3,000	Upon registration to update a certification to reflect a material change, as per Section 4.1 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Management of Instant Tickets Certification/Verification.
Re-certification Fee for: MIT XML Based Messaging for Retailers	$2,000	Upon registration to update a certification to reflect a material change, as per Section 4.1 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Management of Instant Tickets Certification/Verification.
Amendment Fee	$400	Upon execution of any amendment to certification information as per Sections 4.2 of the NSI Policy Supplement for Management of Instant Tickets Certification/Verification.

4. Quality Assurance Best Practice Certification Fees

Refer to Section 5 of the NSI Policy Supplement for QA Best Practices Certification/Verification for applicability of the Amendment Fee.

Certification Fee for 2 Concurrent QA Best Practice Certifications *	$16,000	Upon registration to concurrently certify your product development business practice against two QA Conformance Requirements Documents.
Renewal Fee - per Best Practice area	$8,000	Upon registration to renew the certification of a business practice against one QA Conformance Requirements Document.
Amendment Fee	$400	Upon execution of a change in Business Practice Management, Business Practice Location, Reduction in Optional Requirements Supported by the Certified Practice, Administrative changes, or any other amendment to a business practice's certification information.

* Your organization must meet all of the following conditions in order to qualify for this fee:

Your organization must register for certification against each Quality Assurance Conformance Requirements document separately within the NSI web-based certification/verification system.
The registrations must occur within 4 calendar days of each other. Specifically, the second registration must be entered into the NSI web-based certification/verification system by the end of the 4^th calendar day following the initial registration.
During the registration process, your organization must express its intent for these two registrations to be considered as registered together.
The registrations must specify the same Business Practice Location. The assessment process will thus be carried out at this location, at the same time for both certifications.

If your organization qualifies for concurrent certification, your first registration will be charged the standard certification fee and your second registration will be charged a discounted fee. The Open Group will collect a single payment for the two concurrent certifications.

5. XML Retail Accounting Reports Certification Fees

Refer to Section 5 of the NSI Policy Supplement for XML Retail Accounting Reports Certification/Verification for fee applicability.

Upon registration to certify a technology as a Report Consuming Application. This fee also applies to any technology derived from a certified Report Consuming Application and classified as requiring a "new certification", as per Sections 5.3 and 5.4 of the NSI Policy Supplement for XML Retail Accounting Reports Certification/Verification.

Certification Fee for Report Producing Application

$8,500

Upon registration to certify a technology as a Report Producing Application. This fee also applies to any technology derived from a certified Report Producing Application and classified as requiring a "new certification", as per Sections 5.3 and 5.4 of the NSI Policy Supplement for XML Retail Accounting Reports Certification/Verification.

Amendment Fee

$400

Upon execution of any amendment to certification information as per Sections 5.2 and 5.5 of the NSI Policy Supplement for XML Retail Accounting Reports Certification/Verification.

Payment Terms

The fees are due at the time of registration for certification, renewal, certification update, or execution of an amendment and are payable in US dollars within 30 days of such registration, renewal, update, or amendment. All fees are quoted net of applicable taxes and duties which, where appropriate, will be payable in addition by the Organization to The Open Group, as the NSI Certification and Verification Authority (or to the relevant tax authorities as applicable). The Open Group reserves the right to amend this fee schedule from time to time and will give notice of such change at least 30 days prior.
