American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries Certification

DESCRIPTION
This Conformance Requirements document is for the business
practice
of providing applications to Lotteries for managing Instant Ticket
Inventory activity between Lotteries and Retailers via a set of XML
based messages.
The applicability of NSI
MIT XML Based Messaging for Lottery Vendors
extends to all XML Based Messages defined by the Best Practice for
information exchange about ordering and status of Instant Ticket
inventory.
The Best Practice also defines how these XML Messages are provided and
optionally allows the Vendor to support Instant Ticket Validation and
Pack Activation through an XML Message set.
CONFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
The Conformance Requirements are derived from the following
Best Practice:
- Management of Instant Tickets Best Practice,
Version 1.1,
Document Number BP0801, August 2008, and any Corrigenda issued
against such Best Practice, supplemented by any Interpretations
applicable to this particular version and revision of the Best Practice.
A conformant practice must:
- Implement all the mandatory "Must" requirements, as defined
in Sections 4.4 through 4.6 inclusive of the Management of Instant
Tickets Best Practice and for which "Vendor" is identified as the
Practitioner in Appendix A.
- Implement
all the optional "Should" requirements, as defined in Section 4.6 of
the Management of Instant Tickets Best Practice and for which "Vendor"
is identified as the Practitioner in Appendix A, or else provide a
rationale in the Conformance Statement for why the recommendation is
not followed.
- If
the Conformance Statement indicates support of any optional
requirements, as defined by the "May" requirements for which "Vendor"
is identified as the Practitioner in the Requirements Checklist
(Appendix A) of the Best Practice, then the optional requirements must
be implemented in accordance with the Best Practice.
Appendix A of the Best Practice provides a checklist
of the mandatory, recommended, and optional requirements. This Appendix
should be considered normative with respect to the assigned
Practitioner for each requirement, but in the case of any conflict
between the content of the checklist and the main body of the Best
Practice, the Best Practice shall take precedence.
