NAME
NSI XML Retail Accounting Report Consuming Application
LABEL
When the NASPL Certification Logo, along with this label, is used
on, or in relation to, a technology registered as conformant to this
Conformance Requirements Document, it must be accompanied by an
attribution in the form defined in Schedule 4 of the applicable
North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries
Trademark License Agreement.
DESCRIPTION
This Conformance Requirements Document is for applications that
consume retail accounting information reported by lotteries to lottery
product retailers.
The following definition is used in this document:
CONFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
The Conformance Requirements are derived from the following
Technical Standard:
- XML Retail Accounting Reports in the Lottery Industry, Version
1.0, Document Number TS0402, June 2005, and any Corrigenda
issued against such Technical Standard, supplemented by any
Interpretations applicable to this particular version and revision
of the Technical Standard.
"Mapping Table" below refers to Section 5.4, "NSI Standard
Lottery-Retail Accounting Mapping Table3" of the Technical Standard.
A conformant XML Retail Accounting Report Consuming Application must:
- Demonstrate that it processes, consolidates, and reports all the
mandatory "Required" data items, as defined in the Mapping Table.
- Demonstrate that it processes, consolidates, and reports all the
non-mandatory "Optional" data items, as defined in the Mapping
Table, for which support is indicated in the Conformance Statement.
- Demonstrate that it processes, consolidates, and reports all the
non-mandatory "Optional" data items, as defined in the Mapping
Table, for which it is indicated in the Conformance Statement that
the data item is not explicitly supported, but rather that the data
is consolidated into a single data item.
- Parse and correctly validate the relevant PCATS Schemas as
defined in the "Overriding Standards" section in this document, and
as mapped in the Mapping Table.
- Demonstrate that all data items processed, consolidated, and
reported preserve the same meaning and semantics as defined in the
Mapping Table.
OVERRIDING STANDARDS
The relevant PCATS Schemas as defined in the "Reference Documents"
section of the Technical Standard or the following, whichever is the
later.

INDICATORS OF CONFORMANCE
For an XML Retail Accounting Report Consuming Application, the
Indicators of Conformance are:
- A Conformance Statement that shows how the technology meets the
Conformance Requirements defined above.
- A completed Validation Report, as specified in the NSI XML Retail
Accounting Reports Validation Specification, including any supporting
information and results interpretation.
MIGRATION
As this is the first version of the NSI XML Retail Accounting Report
Consuming Application Conformance Requirements, there are no migration
issues.
