Internationalized Terminal Interfaces
This Product Standard provides applications with window-oriented screen management facilities for character-oriented terminals, and includes support for internationalization and color terminals.
Two sets of conformance rules are defined within this Product Standard:
This comprises a vendor declaration in the Conformance Statement of the differences in behavior of the conformant product and the X/Open Curses, Issue 4, Version 2 Specification,1 including the Enhanced Curses Extension.
This involves strict conformance to the X/Open Curses, Issue 4, Version 2 Specification, including the Enhanced Curses Extension, and use of the test suite as the Indicator of Compliance. The running of the relevant test cases is determined by a parameter of the VSU5 Test Suite.
In the case of a claim of soft conformance, the Internationalized Terminal Interfaces test cases shall not be run. In the case of a claim of hard conformance, it is mandatory that these test cases shall be run.
For soft conformance, see Description above.
For hard conformance, see X/Open Curses, Issue 4, Version 2 Specification, including the Enhanced Curses Extension.
C Language. Dialect ISO C. ISO C source programs invoking the services of this Product Standard must be supported by the registered product.
