This Product Standard provides a command interface to a range of system utilities. Two specifications are applicable: the Historic Compatibility specification which is Commands and Utilities Issue 3 (referenced in XPG3), and the POSIX Compatibility specification which is Commands and Utilities Issue 4, Version 2 and is aligned with ISO/IEC 9945:2:1993 (POSIX-2).
