This Product Standard is the foundation for conformance to the UNIX V7 Product Standard. It is a substantially enhanced version of the Internationalized System Calls and Libraries Extended Product Standard V3, which is the foundation for the UNIX 03 Product Standard. The principal enhancements include: Alignment of interfaces with the corrigenda to ISO/IEC 9899: 1999 (C Language). Addition of new interfaces from: The Open Group Technical Standard, 2006, Extended API Set Part 1; The Open Group Technical Standard, 2006, Extended API Set Part 2 ; The Open Group Technical Standard, 2006, Extended API Set Part 3 ; The Open Group Technical Standard, 2006, Extended API Set Part 4. Conflicts between POSIX and the LSB have been addressed The utimes() function, which was marked Legacy in Issue 6, has been reinstated as mandatory. Incorporation of corrections arising from Austin Group Interpretations and The Open Group Corrigenda
