Authorization API Technical Specification
Procedure to Register an Authentication Mechanism OID

1. Read the description in the Authorization API Technical Standard, Open Group publication C908, January 2000, Section 6.5.3.
   
   This Technical Standard is available on-line, at http://www.opengroup.org/publications/catalog/c908.htm
   
2. Submit to email address tgauthz@opengroup.org the information required:
   • a Specification Name for the authentication mechanism that you wish to register
   • a detailed description of the datatype that is passed through the mechanism_info parameter of the Authorization API's azn_id_get_creds( ) function call.
     
3. You should receive an acknowledgement within 7 days that your application is being processed.
   
   If you do not, send an email to ogspecs@opengroup.org, requesting attention to your application.
