Networking Services, Issue 4

This document contains the Technical Standards of both the X/Open Transport Interface (XTI) and X/Open Sockets Interface. Support for both XTI and Sockets interfaces is a requirement for conformance to the Single UNIX Specification and use of the associated UNIX Brand. The XTI Specification is technically identical to that contained in X/Open Transport Interface (XTI), Version 2 (C318), and either document can be used as the basis for XTI branding on an XPG4 Base platform.
