Architecture Neutral Distribution Format (XANDF)
The Architecture Neutral Distribution Format (ANDF) is a software porting technology making it possible to develop shrink-wrapped software for open systems, independent of any particular processor architecture. This XANDF Guide is a commentary on the XANDF specification (P527). The aim of this Guide is to explain the various constructions of XANDF, giving examples of usage from the producer and user point of view. It shows how XANDF is used to construct programs on particular platforms using various installers or translators.
