Background

The Adaptive Business Solutions Work Group exists to bring together providers and potential consumers of advanced software solutions, help customers evaluate these solutions, and facilitate dialog among technical and business stakeholders.

In particular, it works towards integrating agent technology into conventional enterprise technology. Logistics (supply chain, resource scheduling) and FSI (anti-money laundering) are among the most likely domains that will become the focal points for this.

The conference plenary includes a session on Enterprise Architecture and the use of Adaptive Technologies to drive Enterprise Transformation. In addition, there is a conference stream on 'Web 3.0' investigating the convergence between Service-Oriented Architecture, Semantic Interoperability, and Intelligent agents. These will present ideas that will provide the context for the Adaptive Business Solutions meeting.

Objectives

Given that context, the purposes of the meeting are to:

  • Investigate the solution space;
  • Develop possible ABS solutions as part of the meeting; and
  • Identify the next steps to be taken by the Work Group.
