This is a joint project between the members of the Active Loss Prevention Initiative and the Security Forum.

Its goals are to produce an exercise to demonstrate the significance of an intrusion attack on a corporate business, by simulating such an attack and exploring response strategies, and by creating a scenario describing the likely ensuing consequences and lessons to be learned.

The project proposes to deliver its results in a workshop at the Open Group Conference plenary on 3-4 February 2003 in San Francisco. Delivery in the plenary will be in a play titled

Saving Private Data
in 2 Acts of 5 scenes each, with continuity commentary and a Q&A session after each Act.
