The Open Group has proposed to make the DCE 1.2 source available under the LGPL license to a steering committee who would assume responsibility for placing the source code on a public, vendor-neutral site, and serve as the core of a community that would steer the ongoing open source activities. The purpose of the OpenDCE project is to establish the structure and environment for receiving the source.
