The Open Group Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference in Austin, Texas in the week of 23 July 2007 included:

• A conference stream on Information Architecture; and
• A meeting of the Semantic Interoperability Working Group that produced:
  • Agreement on the Working Group charter;
  • Establishment of the need for an Information Architecture Reference Model to support SOA;
  • A review of the UDEF project; and
  • An in-depth UDEF training session.
