The Open Group Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference in San Francisco, California in the week of 28 January 2008 included:

• A Workshop on Semantics for Enterprise Architecture.
• Semantic-related conference streams:
  • Semantics for SOA
  • Information Architecture.
• A meeting of the Semantic Interoperability Working Group whose agenda included Enterprise Information Architecture, the UDEF Semantic Interoperability Challenge, the UDEF Registry, the UDEF document set, Information Architecture for SOA, and Semantic Interoperability Working Group planning.
• An in-depth training session on the Universal Data Element Framework (UDEF) and how to use it.
