Project Name

SOA Case Studies

Project Status

Approved and in progress.

Contribution to the Mission

Much has been made of the business benefits offered by adopting a Service-Oriented Architecture. But, can we really find those benefits? Have companies been able to realize the promise of SOA? What about the converse; can we identify situations where SOA doesnot add value? This project will identify and describe cases where organisations have adopted an SOA, and report what benefits have been found. It will also try to highlight situations where SOA is not the right approach. This will help both business and technical people to gain a better understanding of SOA.

Deliverables

The project will deliver a set of documented SOA case studies.

Inputs

Inputs will come from companies deploying SOA, and from case studies published by other organizations.

Project Leader

Sylvia Vargas.

Project Team

The project team consists of the members of the soa-case-studies mail list.
