The Open Group IT Architecture Practitioners Conference in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida, USA in the week of 17 July 2006 included:

• A Conference Stream on SOA. This stream had presentations from organizations using SOA, companies providing SOA solutions, and industry experts, on:
  • SOA Case Studies,
  • How to Architect SOA, and
  • The roles of The Open Group and other bodies in developing standards and best practices for SOA.
• A meeting of the SOA Working Group, in which the Group reviewed its whole work program and had specific sessions on the Relation of SOA to Enterprise Architecture and TOGAF, and Reference Architectures and Maturity Models for SOA.
