The Open Group Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference in San Diego, CA in the week of 29 January 2007 included: - An intensive face-to-face meeting of the Working Group's SOA Governance project team;
- A Plenary Meeting with a focus on SOA;
- A Conference Stream on SOA. This stream had presentations from organizations using SOA, companies providing SOA solutions, and industry experts, on:
- Deployment of SOA in the Enterprise,
- SOA Performance Management,
- Frameworks and Models for SOA,
- SOA and Web 2.0,
- SOA and BPM,
- service-Oriented Network Architecture,
- SOA Governance and
- The activities of The Open Group and other bodies in developing standards and best practices for SOA.
- A meeting of the SOA Working Group, in which the Group reviewed its whole work program and had specific sessions on:
- SOA ReferenceArchitecture,
- Security Issues in SOA (jointly with The Open Group's Security Forum),
- SOA Maturity Model,
- A Practical Guide to DEveloping SOA using TOGAF (jointly with The Open Group's Architecture Forum),
- SOA Governance,
- Service-Oriented Infrastructure,
- SOA Ontology, and
- Next Steps for the Working Group.
