Background
The Universal Data Element Framework (UDEF) is a potentially crucial enabler of Semantic Interoperability. It is a standard way of indexing enterprise information that can produce big cost savings. The aim of the UDEF project of The Open Group's Semantic Interoperability Working Group is to develop and promote the UDEF, so that it becomes established as the universally-used classification system for enterprise metadata.
Objectives
The purposes of the meeting are to:
- Progress the work program of the UDEF Project; and
- Provide training in the UDEF and its use.
