At The Open Group Conference in San Francisco in the week of 28 January 2008, the Governing Board of The Open Group approved publication of Version 1.03 of the UDEF. This version incorporates recommendations from the reviewers involved in the Dutch version of the UDEF. It follows the approval at earlier conferences of Version 1.02, which incorporates new data element concepts in the healthcare domain, and version 1.01, which contains new definitions relating to Travel and Security. All of these versions extend the base version 1.
